
James A. Decembrino
President, Jaguar Appraisals & Determinations,
Inc.
Mr. Decembrino, founder of the company, has over 35 years
of experience in the implementation of estimating commercial
losses. As the hands on principal in charge of the company,
he is currently involved in the overall management of all
projects being accomplished by the firm. Mr. Decembrino still
remains active with estimating commercial, residential and
industrial property damage losses.
Professional Experience:
Vice President of Gaudet Associates
Mr. Decembrino was managing the Property & Casualty Department
of Gaudet Associates, Inc. Mr. Decembrino established this
department for particular technical specialities. He was responsible
for hiring and coordinating qualified professional engineers
and consultants to perform forensic investigations and reporting
on a variety of failures in a professional and structured
environment. Mr. Decembrino was also responsible for marketing
accounts, managing personnel and estimating major property
damage losses.
Prior to GAUDET ASSOCIATES, Mr. Decembrino worked as a consultant
for Hudson International Development Group
for ten years. While there he provided technical consulting
services to the insurance industry and legal profession in
the area of estimating, with an emphasis in property damage
evaluation, project management, determination of extent of
damage, and cost to repair. His cases have included structures
damaged by fire, flood/water, or negligent workmanship as
well as vehicle collision damage to buildings. He is also experienced in
determining the fairness and accuracy of existing estimates
and the quality and appropriateness of the recommended remedial
work.
FireDEX Corporation
While employed by FireDEX he was first employed as a Property Damage
Estimator and then eventually over a ten year span was promoted
to General Manager. The following is a summary of his responsibilities
at FireDEX:
GENERAL MANAGER - He determined the scope
of damage and prepared detailed estimates for large fire restoration
projects as well as coordinate and supervise restoration projects
from beginning to end. Mr. Decembrino also visited branch
offices to assist branch managers in estimating, dealt with
subcontractors, marketed new accounts, and supervised and
coordinated projects. He also provided estimating classes
to the insurance claims industry.
BRANCH MANAGER - Mr. Decembrino opened and
managed a new branch office and developed new accounts. He
was responsible for marketing, office management, project
supervision and coordination, negotiated subcontractor’s
contracts, accounts receivables, and monitored restoration
projects.
PROJECT COORDINATOR - Mr. Decembrino was
a heavy loss estimator. He assisted branch offices on large
losses, developed estimates and provided direction, guidance
and quality control on large projects.
PROPERTY ADJUSTER - General Adjustment Bureau
- He adjusted property claims and participated nationwide
as a catastrophic adjuster on major catastrophes.
